Every MSME has a story to tell, of an idea that took shape, challenges that were overcome, and the determination to keep building. In its sixth edition, the Tally MSME Honours continued to celebrate these journeys while making the platform more inclusive, accessible, and meaningful for India’s MSME community.
This year, we received 12,567 completed applications, representing 782 cities and towns, with 63% representation from Tier 2 and Tier 3 locations. With 607 Tally partners participating and 158 winners recognised across four events, the 2026 edition brought together a diverse mix of entrepreneurs, from emerging businesses to established enterprises.

Celebrating the Real Bharat
One of the biggest highlights of this edition was the growing representation from beyond the metros. 61.5% of completed submissions came from outside metro cities, bringing forward stories from entrepreneurs across India’s diverse business landscape.
The nominations also reflected the breadth of the MSME ecosystem, with businesses recognised across five categories: Tech Transformer, Champion of Cause, Business Maestro, NewGen Icon, and WonderWoman. Notably, 73% of nominating businesses had 10 employees or fewer, while 92% had 50 or fewer, reinforcing the programme’s focus on the businesses that form the heart of India’s MSME landscape.
Technology That Made a Difference
The 2026 edition also introduced technology-led improvements across the nomination and evaluation journey. A new platform brought applications, shortlisting and jury evaluation together, while automated workflows helped simplify the process for applicants.
A key innovation was AI-assisted shortlisting, where nearly 13,000 applications were evaluated and narrowed down to a shortlist of 500 before the jury review. This helped bring greater consistency and efficiency to the evaluation process while allowing stronger stories to surface.
At the events, MSME Honours AI Connect, an AI-enabled WhatsApp bot, supported registration, check-ins, attendee queries and networking, with 200+ queries handled during the events.
A Wider Reach, A Stronger Platform
The campaign reached 14 Mn+ people digitally, generating 34 Mn impressions and 5.5 lakh+ video ThruPlays across META and leading news platforms. PR and media outreach added 46 pieces of earned coverage across six outlets, while wire distribution reached 269 publishers with a potential reach of 28.3 Mn+.
The edition also strengthened its ecosystem through partnerships with Axis Bank as Banking Partner, Salesforce as Technology Partner, and YourStory as Media Partner, bringing in ₹16 lakh in sponsorships.
More Than a Moment of Recognition
Tally MSME Honours 2026 went beyond recognising winners. With the launch of TallyCircle, continued webinars, winner-led content, workshops and an always-on interest journey, the programme is building a community that continues beyond the awards.
Because every MSME story deserves more than a moment in the spotlight. It deserves to be heard, celebrated, and carried forward.
