This Privacy Statement articulates the privacy and data protection principles followed by Navmaya Tech Services Private Limited and its group entities (holding company, subsidiaries, associates and affiliates; and hereinafter referred to as “Tally”, “we”, “us” and “our”) around the world about the personal data of customers of Tally-BCB platform/services (as defined in the Terms and Conditions for Tally Bharath Connect for Business).

What Personal data do we collect?

We may collect the following types of Personal data about you when you associate with us as a customer/end user of our services on the Tally-BCB platform as relevant and allowed by law. In this privacy statement “you” refers to you if you are an individual person or your employee(s) and representative(s) if you are a body corporate or a company or any other legal entity.

If you give us someone else’s Personal data, you must have their authorisation.

  • Identification data – information that identifies you. For example, your name, your designation.

  • Contact data – information that allows addressing, sending or communicating a message to you. For example, your email address, phone or mobile number and residential / official address.

  • Device data – This includes IP Address, browser types and versions, time zone settings and locations, operating systems, and device information such as device’s location and other cookie identifiers.

  • Communications data – information relating to you contained in voice, messaging, email and other communications we have with you.

  • Information about the Payment instrument partners (platforms and sponsors): This is the information (such as user account details, user authentication token with the Services, transaction details including logs, transaction status, account statements) that we receive from our payment aggregators who are processing the transaction when you use the Services such as.

    Registration data: Tally.NET ID, license details of your TallyPrime and username and or Organisation ID of your payment platform login (in certain cases).

    Business Data: This includes your business or entity name GST-related data such as GSTIN, PAN details such as business PAN, and other business-related information such as supplier information, and details of transactions.

    Financial data: This includes details of transactions that may occur in connection with the provision of services such as codes for validation, personal data in invoices, Payment instrument data such as Payment request and status, Transaction references (logs).

How do we collect Personal data?

We usually get your Personal data directly from you, but we may also obtain it from other sources as necessary, including from: our holding company, Tally Solutions which provides us with your basic account information.

Why do we collect your Personal data?

We collect your Personal data so that we can manage our relationship with you or the individual, company, business or organisation you represent. We offer financial services enabled through payment instrument.

Purposes of Processing

We process your Personal data for the following purposes, as relevant, depending on whether we provide services to you directly or represent, or are associated with, other individuals or organisations who provide services to us.:

  • engaging with you as a representative of our corporate customers for the purpose of providing services to them; and/or
  • creating, registration and maintaining our customer account on the platform; and/or
  • contacting you; and/or
  • maintaining up-to-date records of authorised persons; and/or
  • monitoring and recording our communications with you, for example, phone calls, for training and quality purposes; and/or
  • for the security of our systems and networks in order to keep your data safe and confidential; and/or
  • responding to questions or managing any complaints, including monitoring social media conversations and posts to identify conversations, sentiments, and complaints about our products and services; and/or
  • issuing notifications about changes to the terms and conditions of our products and services; and/or
  • To monitor trends so we can improve the Platform and Services; and/or
  • To perform our obligations that arise out of the arrangement we are about to enter or have entered with you; and/or
  • To undertake marketing services, including but not limited to sending promotional messages, updates on new features, follow up on your requests, etc. via email, phone, or otherwise; and/or
  • complying with relevant local and foreign law, regulations, rules, directives, judgments or court orders, requests, guidelines, government sanctions, embargo, reporting requirements, restrictions, demands from or agreements with any authority (including domestic or foreign tax authorities), court or tribunal, enforcement agency or exchange body in any relevant jurisdiction where Tally or its group companies operate; and/or
  • to inform you of new Tally-BCB partner additions to the Services and any offers in partnership with the partners; and/or
  • For audit by the regulators or payment instrument partners.

To whom your Personal data may be shared with?

  • We do not sell your personal information. We may share that information with certain of our business partners to provide you with direct marketing opportunities (which you may always opt out of receiving).
  • We may share your Personal data within our parent and group companies.
  • We may share your Personal data for the Purposes of Processing as set out in this privacy statement, including with our other service providers, our business partners, other third parties and as required by law for Tally-BCB services or requested by any authority.
  • We limit how, and with whom, we share your Personal data and take steps to ensure your Personal data is kept confidential and protected when we share it.
  • We may share your Personal data for our purposes of processing with the following, where relevant and allowed by law:
    • Authorised third parties - any other person you have authorised us by your consent to share your Personal data with.
    • providers of professional services, such as market researchers and management consultants
    • advertising companies and social media platform providers.
    • service providers, such as operational, administrative, data processing and other technology service providers, including anyone engaged or partnered with to analyse and facilitate improvements or enhancements in our operations or provision of products and services.
  • Government authorities and law enforcement

As required by law or as requested by any authority, which includes any government, quasi-government, regulator, administrative regulatory or supervisory body, court, tribunal, enforcement agency, exchange body or domestic or foreign tax authorities, having jurisdiction over us whether within or outside your jurisdiction.

We seek to use appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard Personal data within our organization against loss, theft, breach, and unauthorized use, disclosure, or modification. We have taken measures to keep your Personal data secure including encryption and other forms of security.

From time to time, we may revise this statement for reasons, including but not limited to reflect our industry initiatives, changes in the law, and changes to the scope of the services, among other reasons. revised Privacy Statement will accordingly be published on this page.  We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Statement without your explicit consent.

Data retention

We retain your Personal data for as long as you engage with us and may retain your Personal data for a period of time afterwards, depending on the type of Personal data, as required by our policies, applicable laws and regulations. Where we do not need to retain your Personal data for this period of time, we may destroy, delete or anonymise it sooner at your request or our discretion.

Data transfer

Your Personal data may be stored and processed in any country including India where we have facilities or in which we engage data controllers or processors. Where the data is shared, we will ensure that it has an appropriate level of protection and that the transfer is lawful, in accordance with the applicable data protection laws and regulations.
