Vijay is a tech enthusiast with 4.5 years of experience in Engineering at Tally. Apart from contributing to the releases of the flagship product TallyPrime, Vijay’s key contributions in the market involve "Tally Reports in Browser" and "TallyPrime on AWS" where he developed components for faster report development on mobile browsers, actively participated in operation and deployment cycles, and took charge of backend code components to address scalability and reliability challenges in TallyPrime on AWS. At Tally, Vijay has showcased his expertise in research and development through various discovery projects, which involved ground-up implementation of a custom network protocol over TCP, a space-efficient file system, a full-text search engine, and a JSON schema parser.

Vijay is not only dedicated to technical pursuits but also passionately embraces teaching. Vijay actively engages himself in technical talks, campus guest lectures by Tally, and finds joy in mentoring, training, and guiding new hires and interns at Tally. Additionally, Vijay also contributes to organizing Tally’s annual technical hackathon - CodeBrewers.

Vijay graduated from RK University in Computer Engineering and finished his postgraduation in Information and Communication Technology from DAIICT, Gandhinagar. His thesis, completed while working as a teaching assistant for C++, Data Structures, and Algorithms, focused on "Improving privacy in Bitcoin Transactions." Additionally, Vijay served as a course facilitator for Google, conducting a course on "Applied Computer Science with Android". Vijay also volunteered for two years as a Microsoft Student Partner, conducting workshops on various Microsoft technologies such as WPF, XAML, and C#.

In his leisure time, Vijay finds joy in reading, PC gaming, and casual chess matches.
