How Tally helped Champion Cables overcome their business hurdles

Association: Champion Cables and Tally’s association began in December 2000 and it has been an incredible journey ever since then.

• Saves Time on Inspection Reports: Extraction of inspection reports was one of the easiest things that the company found with the help of Tally. When a detailed inspection is required at the time of semi-finished goods inspection on the shop floor, cost estimation is opened. This gave a complete list of inspection parameters of that category. And since the complete list is not required during Finished Goods inspection, only the relevant parameters are mentioned by name. In fact, Balance parameters remained hidden
• Eases Export to Excel: Champion Cables had been using the BoM (Bill of Materials) feature of Tally.ERP 9 for quite some time, and soon realised it could be extended to cover the inspection parameters. The module customised in Tally.ERP 9 provides the details of the material under inspection. A small program is written in Excel which helps yield the report
• Gets relevant intelligence: Currently, Tally.ERP 9 is being used for finance, procurement, marketing, production and product development- every key function which yields in better visibility for Champion Cables in the OEM sector

Being an ardent fan of Tally from version 5.4 days, Mr. Gurnani states matter-of-factly, "We use Tally not as a product per se, but as a concept. And when this fundamental is grasped, the possibilities seem literally endless".
