Is Tally.ERP 9 being discontinued?
Tally.ERP 9 is not getting discontinued, it will continue to work. Only the
upgrade process has change. While Tally.ERP 9 users can continue using their
current version, however, the TSS renewal for Tally.ERP 9 will be discontinued. Please refer the
upgrade process as mentioned above.
How do I get the free upgrade to TallyPrime?
If your TSS was active on or after 9 November 2020, you are eligible for a free
upgrade to TallyPrime. If your TSS status is expired before 9 November 2020, you
will need to take a paid upgrade to move to TallyPrime.
What happens if I don't upgrade before 15th August 2026?
From 16th August 2026, TSS renewal on Tally.ERP 9 will be discontinued for all
customers. Your upgrade path will depend on your TSS history:
- If your TSS was active on or after 9th November 2020, you are eligible for a free upgrade to the TallyPrime release available on your TSS expiry date.
- If your TSS status is expired before 9 November 2020, you will need to take a paid upgrade to move to TallyPrime.
Can I renew my TSS if I'm using Tally.ERP 9 after 16 August?
No. TSS renewal for Tally.ERP 9 has been discontinued. You need to upgrade to
TallyPrime and renew your TSS.
Will my data be safe during migration?
Yes, your data will be completely safe. TallyPrime includes a seamless data
migration process that preserves all your existing data. We recommend backing up
your data before migration as a precaution.
